CARE GIVER TRAINING
Dorvict is starting its Live in caregiver training program for those:
a) who are interested on providing in home support and care to families in Canada.
b) who are prequalified according to Service Canada requirements i.e. individuals who are currently employed in the field, or people with work experience, First Aid and CPR training etc).
The six weeks training will focus on Canadian standard training modules on The role and expectations of live in caregivers, submitting your interest and the application process, abuse, sexual harassment, violence in the workplace, confidentiality, respect and fair treatment, accessing emergency services, manners and etiquette, maintaining professionalism etc.
Please note that all training and regulations are Canadian standards and may only be applicable and enforceable for practice in Canada.
Venue: Dorvict Resource & Consulting Centre Limited, 9a Moremi Road, Bodija, Ibadan.
Start Date: Saturday June 14th, 2014. Thereafter, weekly class sessions will be on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.
Space: is limited to 15 people per class. participation will be done on First payment received basis.
Cost: N50, 000 (including course materials)
Additional Criteria: To qualify for enrollment, you must have attended one of the information sessions. Your c.v. and letter of intent must have been pre-screened and approved before you can be included in this training program.
A certificate of accomplishment will be issued to all participants. Certificates will not be issued should any class be missed.
Another date will be announced for the six month training program for those who have no previous experience or education in the field.
